MAINTENANCE at Presto Distribution Center Inc – Nettleton, Mississippi

SUMMARY:

Responsible for ensuring all equipment is running at optimal efficiencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

include the following.

• General maintenance type jobs as needed.
• Perform all required preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
• Work overtime as required.
• Complete daily paperwork
• Work safely at all times.

Perform other work-related duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and/or three years of in a distribution environment with an in-depth conveyor system.

· Experience in use of scissor-lifts, gas and electric forklifts and power tools.

SPECIFIC SKILLS and ABILITIES:

· Basic ability to read, speak, write, and comprehend the English language to perform essential job duties.

· Forklift operating experience or certification.

· Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jack, order picker and box cutter.

· Familiar with warehouse management systems for tracking case volume and product placement within warehouse facilities.

· Shipping/receiving and general warehouse and packaging skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

· Language skills allow employee to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Able to lift and carry 35 pounds regularly and consistently.

· Must be able to work in extreme temperatures for extended periods of time.

· Walk, bend sit, squat, twist, lift and carry on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
