Sand Valley is a golf resort and community settled gently upon 12,000 acres of rugged, pre-historic sand dunes in central Wisconsin. Position Summary
  • The Lido Retail Assistant will help maintain a successful retail operation by assisting customers and ensuring the golf shop is stocked and properly cared for at all times. This position is tasked with providing Lido members and guests with exceptional service, and assuring daily operations are performed to the highest standard.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Be knowledgeable of all golf shop merchandise. Sell merchandise and provide suggestions to guests as appropriate to meet their needs. Assist customers with special merchandise orders
  • Collect money or process credit cards, record sales transactions, and issue receipts for all merchandise sales, and greens fees
  • Assists with all opening and closing procedures for the golf shop
  • Assist in packing, unpacking, arranging, and displaying golf shop inventory. Assist with the physical inventory at month's end in accordance with inventory procedures
  • Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees
  • Maintains an attractive and orderly appearance in and around the golf shop
  • Answer phones and always maintain pleasant and professional telephone manners
  • Schedule tee times and handle customer inquiries and complaints in accordance with operating policies and procedures as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the leadership team
Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of hospitality experience preferred
  • Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
  • Read and write (English)
  • Communicate verbally with staff members with or without the use of two-way radios.
  • Give and/or follow verbal and written instructions
  • Stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly
