About This Position

MISSION: To educate Christians who will make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ.

SUMMARY: The Nursing Program Administrative Assistant provides instructional, practicum, licensure, and accreditation support, as well as designing, collecting, and supporting the gathering and storing of data for the nursing program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Education
· Assist in networking and coordinating with surrounding clinical sites to place students in various practicum experiences. Maintain detailed spreadsheet of placements, including site, instructor, course number, facility requirements, and student, site, and faculty evaluations.
· Prepare, maintain, and ensure student documentation of clinical placement requirements. Provide copies of clinical placement documents to clinical facilities as required.
· Work with the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing Program to submit licensure documents for graduates. Complete appropriate paperwork for graduates seeking out-of-state nursing licensure.
· Provide support for the undergraduate Nursing admission process, evaluate student transcripts in concert with Nursing faculty and Director, and provide continuous student records management related to institutional and state licensing requirements.
· Assist with managing the nursing budget, tracking expenditures, and submitting check requests and expenditure reports to the financial services office.
· Attend and take minutes for Nursing program meetings and additional training meetings; this documentation is necessary for accreditation reporting.
· Work with Food services and Campus Events Office to coordinate nursing program events including Nursing Student Orientation, Corban Nursing Advisory Committee (CNAC), university supervisor trainings, and other events as assigned.
· Support full-time and adjunct nursing faculty.
· Maintain and update student practicum documents, the Corban Nursing Student Handbook, and other documents as assigned.
· Maintain data related to NCLEX testing results.
· Provide support for grant writing endeavors.

Accreditation
· Support the Director and faculty in preparing data for national accreditation of the Corban Nursing Program.
· Participate as an active member of the accreditation team with the Director and other Nursing faculty and staff.

Other Duties as Assigned

· Ability to manage details efficiently and thoroughly.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to balance changing priorities.
· Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with faculty, adjuncts, students and community leaders and advisors to the University.
· Ability to identify problems, prioritize work, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook. WORD, PowerPoint, Publisher, and EXCEL.
· Ability to operate social media accounts.
· Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
· Strong administrative skills.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree required. Substantial experience may be substituted for education requirement.
· Administrative experience preferred.
· Event coordination experience preferred.
· Grant writing or support experience preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Traditional office environment and hours. Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required based on academic events schedule.
