| Job Summary | The Office of Student Organizations and Activities (SOA) is committed to a mission of inspiring students to explore the opportunities at UK through the building of skills, relationships, experiences, and interests to make a real-world impact. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Student Program Specialist to join our team and work with student leaders facilitating innovative programs and resources. This role works closely with students on a day-to-day basis supporting their leadership development and growth in their role, helping them navigate processes and procedures, and providing opportunities for them to support the broader University of Kentucky community. The Senior Specialist for Student Governance position portfolio currently includes but is not limited to:
Due to the nature of the work associated with this role, occasional night and weekend coverage may be necessary. Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision-making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success. |

| Preferred Education/Experience | Masters in Higher Education Administration/College Student Personnel or related field with 1-3 years related experience in student personnel/student affairs working with student governance, leadership development, and student programming. Driver’s license preferred. |
