Rehabilitation Tech / Restorative Aide

Position Summary
The Rehabilitation Tech/Restorative Aide supports physical, occupational, and speech therapy services by assisting therapists, preparing treatment areas, transporting patients, and helping carry out restorative programs. This role plays a key part in maintaining residents’ functional abilities, promoting safety, and ensuring efficient therapy operations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist therapists with non-clinical tasks during treatment sessions, including patient setup, positioning, and equipment preparation.
- Transport patients to and from therapy sessions safely and efficiently.
- Maintain therapy spaces, including cleaning equipment, organizing supplies, and ensuring a safe environment.
- Carry out restorative nursing programs as delegated, such as range-of-motion exercises, ambulation, transfers, and ADL support.
- Document restorative activities accurately and in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Monitor patient responses and promptly report changes to nursing or therapy staff.
- Support therapists with scheduling, filing, and basic administrative tasks as needed.
- Promote resident independence, dignity, and engagement in functional activities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and assisting with mobility.
- Ability to respond quickly and safely in patient-care situations.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time or part-time positions available.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment.
- Previous experience in rehabilitation, long-term care, or patient care preferred.
- Ability to safely assist with transfers, mobility, and physical tasks.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and comfortable working with older adults or individuals with disabilities.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Must meet facility health, background, and training requirements.
