Position Summary:

The Production Inventory Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring accurate inventory management and production integrity. This position is responsible for verifying that all products are processed and tracked according to established protocols, while strictly adhering to safety guidelines and USDA regulations. The Production Inventory Clerk helps maintain compliance, supports efficient operations, and ensures accurate documentation of production and inventory data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate cooked and raw inventory records.
  • Track and report product issues from production, ensuring timely communication to supervisors.
  • Investigate products placed in rework status and document findings.
  • Conduct daily cooler and inventory audits to verify accuracy.
  • Review and adjust meat tickets as needed; validate production tickets to ensure order completion.
  • Monitor production orders across all lines and shifts and verify shipping receipts.
  • Communicate daily with the scheduling team regarding production or inventory issues.
  • Report food safety, quality, or compliance issues to supervisors or Quality Assurance.
  • Review rework, inedible, and accountable items daily and take appropriate action.
  • Perform miscellaneous administrative duties and provide support to other departments as needed.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience as a Production Clerk or in a similar production, inventory, or clerical role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • General knowledge of warehouse and production processes.
  • Ability and availability to work 40+ hours per week as business needs require.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to lift, slide, push, pull, grab, turn, reach, bend, stand, and walk as required to perform job duties.
  • Required to wear general PPE, including bump cap, hairnet, and ear plugs.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Must be able to perform job duties inside the plant, including production areas.

Pay range for this position is $37,000 to $42,000 depending on experience.

Benefits for this role include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, FSA, HSA, 401(k) Plan with Company Match, Vacation & PTO, and Tuition Reimbursement. There is also a potential for a discretionary bonus this bonus is based on personal & company performance and is not a guaranteed bonus plan.
