CUSTOMER SERVICE & VENDOR MANAGED INVENTORY SPECIALIST

JOB SUMMARY
The CUSTOMER SERVICE & VENDOR MANAGED INVENTORY SPECIALIST is a hybrid role that consists of managing, delivering, stocking, and replenishing Vendor Managed Inventory for specified customer locations at regularly scheduled intervals. Additionally, the specialist will engage in Customer Service responsibilities such as directly collaborating with our customers and assisting them with their inquiries and requests. This position falls under the Sales & Customer facing departments and reports to the Sales Support Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vendor Managed Inventory (40%)
- Build relationships with customers.
- Deliver and stock specified bin locations.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels for normal usage.
- Plan with buyers and facility personnel for upcoming outage/project needs
- Uncover opportunities to expand product offering.
- Manage blanket purchase order amounts & expirations.
- Report sales leads back to account manager and assist where necessary.
- Record all services rendered to the customer and document in the business system.
- Enter/Process Replenishment Orders.
- Entering/Updating Customer Contact information and VIP events in business system.
- Maintain and service company vehicle at regular intervals.
- Keep the company vehicle in clean, presentable condition at all times.
- Perform regular stock checks to ensure current inventory levels are accurate.
Customer Service Representative (60%)
- Provide timely and helpful responses to all electronic or in-person inquiries, quote requests, order confirmations, and answer customer questions about products, prices, and availability in accordance with agreed upon SLA’s.
- Utilize business system to process quotes, orders, factory orders, cancellations, provide tracking requests, shipment method changes, and other transactional changes.
- Project a helpful and confident attitude when working with internal and external customers.
- Report customer complaints, non-conformances, and errors in compliance with Quality System
- Ongoing training on business systems, product information, personal, and professional growth
- Monitor system widgets daily and ensure accurate order entry and processing.
- Assist with walk-in customers.
- Maintain functional knowledge of catalog part numbers.
- Provide visual part number identification for catalog items.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

TRAVEL
Regular bi-weekly travel to customer locations will be expected. Some overnight travel in-territory may be required. Limited travel is expected between offices. There will be occasional travel to meetings and training.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ year vendor relationship experience.
- Clean MVR record.
- Customer service experience in instrumentation or process related industry preferred.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Highly motivated with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong computer skills (ability to navigate MS Office applications, SAP a plus).
- Strong organizational skills
