Part-Time Skills Lab Coordinator - Medical Imaging Program- Radiography
The Part-Time Skills Lab Coordinator for Medical Imaging program supports faculty instructional activities and oversees the medical imaging lab equipment and operation. This position plays an essential role in assisting students and faculty, with hands-on application of medical imaging techniques and procedures. Specifically, this role will provide individualized and small-group tutoring to students to strengthen clinical competencies and technical skills. This role ensures a safe, organized, and effective learning space to include radiation protection with the use of the energize imaging labs for students enrolled in the Medical Imaging Program.
Responsibilities:
- Supports faculty instructional activities and oversees the medical imaging lab equipment and operation.
- Assists students and faculty, with hands-on application of medical imaging techniques and procedures.
- Provides individualized and small-group tutoring to students to strengthen clinical competencies and technical skills.
- Ensures a safe, organized, and effective learning space to include radiation protection with the use of the energize imaging labs for students enrolled in the Medical Imaging Program.
Job Requirements:
- Associate degree or higher in Medical Radiography required.
- Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License in Medical Radiography.
- Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certificate.
- Strong knowledge of Medical Radiography principles, techniques and radiographic positioning.
- Assist faculty with laboratory instruction and student skill development.
- Prepare and maintain lab equipment and instructional materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and program policies.
- Provide skills-based tutoring to reinforce positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, and clinical procedures in conjunction with patient care.
- Proven ability to work independently and with diverse student populations in a clinical or academic setting.
Preferred Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Radiography mentoring or supporting students in a clinical or academic setting.
Additional Information:
Salary: $36.55 an hour at 10 hours a week. Part-Time Non-Benefited Employee.
