About This Position
The Senior Accountant works with the Finance team to ensure accurate accounting, proper internal controls and timely financial reporting and analysis for several subsidiary companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with month end closing, monthly financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Responsible for monthly closing entries and reconciliations.
- Identify and research variances within monthly financial statements.
- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare daily report.
- Review and post monthly credit card activity.
- Maintain balance sheet subledger files.
- Assist with coordination of annual audit.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings.
- Assist with the annual pricing exercise.
- Back up for A/R and A/P as needed.
- Partner with team members to drive overall business improvements.
- Promotes and facilitates continuous improvement activities.
- Supports the development and maintenance of adequate internal accounting controls.
- Assist with forecasting, analysis, and miscellaneous projects.
Required Skills & Abilities:

- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
- Advanced technical ability in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting required.
- Master's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
- 1 - 3 years of Accounting experience is required.
- Expert knowledge of all accounting functions, processes and procedures, including GAAP requirements.
- Knowledge of Epicor or similar ERP system is preferred.
