About This Position
Wolcott Architecture is seeking a Senior Project Manager to be responsible for the overall management of specific firm projects, ranging from medium-large scale commercial interior architecture scope to tenant improvements.
This is a role that requires comfort with client interaction and experience with project and design presentation.
Wolcott offers a fun, fast paced, creative work environment nestled in our custom office space in the Los Feliz/East Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles. This is a full-time, in-office position with excellent benefits and 401(k) plan.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 15 years' experience in commercial interiors/architectural field.
Full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of projects with a broad knowledge of all aspects of architectural and interior planning, design, and construction. Knowledgeable of relevant design practice and materials, and capable of preparing schematic layouts, overseeing preparation of bid and construction documents, and construction administration. Builds and maintains the project schedule for meeting project deadlines as well as all project staffing.
Detailed knowledge of construction costs and excels at preparing analytic spreadsheet(s) of cost comparisons.
Excels at negotiating and preparing Contracts, Proposals and Work Authorizations, and of identifying assumptions, exclusions, and supplemental/additional services throughout the project. Responsible for obtaining and negotiating consultant contracts and the overall project coordination with those consultants.
Knowledge of relevant codes including IBC, ADA, Title 24 and of relevant building department jurisdictions and practices. Knowledge of relevant AIA documents.
Excellent working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and industry-standard platforms (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS Excel), presentation (MS PowerPoint), image editing (PhotoShop or equal), scheduling (MS Project), page layout (Illustrator or equal), e-mail (Outlook), web browser (IE or equal), and file formatting (Acrobat) programs, sufficient to communicate ideas and direct staff.
Knowledgeable of relevant lighting design practice, and capable of preparing schematic lighting layouts, overseeing preparation of lighting construction documents and administration.
Proactively works with staff, either individually or in-groups, to provide a positive atmosphere for learning and mentoring for professional growth.
Experience Required: A Minimum of 10 years experience (both technical and supervisory) in the interiors/architectural field. Bachelors degree in architecture or interior design preferred.
Salary Range:
$110k/$160k/year, dependent on experience

Local, Los Angeles candidates only. This is an onsite position at our office in Los Angeles. No remote candidates please.
