ABOUT THE ROLE:
Processes financial transactions, reconciles accounts and prepares financial reports for Board, Management and internal use.
Primary responsibilities:
- Daily cash position accounting and reporting.
- Investment accounting, record keeping, and pledge management, including security pre-purchase and municipal credit quality documentation, and communication of transactions and pledge changes to the bond accounting provider.
- General ledger and internal checking account reconciliation, including the identification of and resolution of discrepancies.
- Prepaid expense and accrual accounting.
- Active charge-off register maintenance.
- Allowance for Credit Loss record keeping.
- Pricing Committee report and deposit rate sheet generation and distribution.
- Board of Directors financial, loan and deposit report preparation.
- Investment Committee report compilation.
- Weekly liquidity reporting.
- Audit and annual report schedule production.
- Shareholder relations assistance, including dividend payment and maintenance of shareholder systems.
- Accounting & Finance Department support to provide back-up to other staff in the event of an absence.
- Other duties as assigned.
This is an in-office position working 40 hours a week in a typical office environment. Requires ability to operate numerous types of office equipment such as phones, computers, printers, scanners, fax machines, copiers and calculators. Primarily a sedentary position but requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, stretching and stooping. Vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed material. Hearing sufficient to understand personal and phone conversation. Speech sufficient to clearly convey or exchange information.
- Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or 2 or more years' experience in accounting or finance, preferably in bank accounting.
- Ability to work independently in a focused environment under strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with math, analytical, and computer skills. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Windows-based applications is essential.
- Ability to work in a primarily digital environment, gathering data and reports from multiple sources both internally and externally for use in transaction processing, reconciling and preparing reports.
- Ability to adhere to accounting principles and company standards.
- Ability to handle and maintain confidential information with discretion.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

This is an hourly, non-exempt position with an expected pay range of $23.75 - $32.00.
