About This Position

Description:

Position Function:

Complete facilities duties as directed by the Director of Facilities or Lead Facilities Technician. Duties can include grounds, mowing, janitorial, painting, completing facilities requests, and general maintenance. The job requires sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.

Education Requirements:

High school education or GED preferred.

Experience Requirements:

Experience in general maintenance such as grounds, janitorial, painting, vehicle maintenance, and the completion of maintenance related duties.

Functional Requirements:

Ability to tolerate physical activity, such as walking, standing, climbing, lifting, and squatting. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and up to 100 pounds with assistance. Requires good hearing and vision, to assess health, safety and occupational hazards quickly and must be able to respond to a variety of work assignments. Must possess a valid Texas driver's license and be able to operate several types of vehicles: multi­ passenger van, trucks, tractors, and standard passenger cars. Must have a driving record, which is within the guidelines of the insurance underwriter. Must not have been charged with or convicted of a felony or criminal offense against a child.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to the normal hazards of light industrial environment which includes electric hand tools, welders, power saws, chemicals used for general cleaning and building maintenance. Exposure to illness and blood exists. Environment will also consist of external settings, with associated heat and cold exposures.

Exposure to Confidential Information:

Maintain confidentiality & follow policies related to personal records & client records.

  • Maintain high ethical standards which are outline in the ACH Child and Family Services Code of Ethics.
  • Weeding beds (as needed)
  • Trimming bushes (as needed)
  • Upkeep of grounds equipment
  • Cleaning
  • Completing facilities requests
  • Painting
  • Inventory of painting supplies
  • Training and meeting set ups
  • Light carpentry
  • Moving
  • Plumbing
  • Fleet management
  • Purchasing supplies
  • Other duties as directed by the Lead Facilities Technician or Director of Facilities
