About This Position
SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting the Operations Manager to successfully operate all activities for the Puye Cliff Dwellings, including successful communication in front of large groups of people, walking of distances up to five to six miles, and relaying information about the history of the Santa Clara people, and assisting in with Gift Shop responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for relaying information about Puye Cliff Dwellings Tours, Hours of Operation, and information about Santa Claran Casino Hotel and other entities.
- Be able to conduct Customer-friendly, comprehensive tours that may last up to One Hour (Dwellings; Mesa Top) or up to Two hours (Adventure) on an ongoing basis (hourly for the duration of the day), provide historical information about Puye and Pueblo life to groups on the tours.
- Be willing to work the scheduled hours that are assigned, which will include weekends and holidays.
- Responsible for cleaning facilities including restrooms, buildings, trails and parking areas and performing light maintenance such as; gardening, weeding, moving and lifting objects weighing 25 lbs, and helping with product and display in the gift shop.
- Tour Guides shall also be responsible for working the cash register, completing Shift Balance sheets, Daily Report sheets and Bank Balance information. All balance documentation for daily reports will be submitted to the Site Supervisor.
- Tour Guides are also responsible for helping in the Gift Shop and handling money and working cash register, as well as, filling out any paperwork associated with money handling and Daily Reports, Sales and Inventory.
- Responsible for various duties that a small team must do: such as but not limited to; drive a van, sell products in the gift shop, canvas local areas, provide educational information to Schools’, bread baking, plant and weapons demonstrations.
- Act as a Representative of the Company, in a public relations capacity, at all times, particularly on weekends or during special functions.
- Keep all areas clean and sanitized as directed.
- Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a Tribal member of Santa Clara Pueblo or an enrolled member of one of the Eight Northern Pueblos.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
