A labor and delivery (L&D) nurse supports patients during and after birth (vaginal and c-sections) under the supervision of a nurse midwife or physician. They also care for infants immediately after delivery. The registered nurses will work in L&D, the OR, and PACU.

Responsibilities

The Labor and Delivery (L&D) OB Triage RN is responsible for providing comprehensive care to women during labor,
delivery and the immediate postpartum period. The RN in this highly specialized role is skilled at managing both routine
and high-risk pregnancies, monitoring fetal and maternal well-being, and assisting with deliveries. The L&D RN collaborates
with the healthcare team to develop individualized plans of care for expectant mothers, while assessing and monitoring the
health status of their patients, providing safe and compassionate care, while ensuring timely interventions.

Qualifications

Will be working 72/hrs per pay period as a staff RN for 12 weeks. Benefit status is consistent with casual part time benefits.

At least 1 year recent acute care experience required. NC RN License or Multistate RN License required.
