JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
A Fire Sprinkler Dispatcher role supports with coordinating and dispatching Field Technicians that service fire sprinkler systems with scheduled services and maintenance. This includes managing incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and ensuring efficient dispatch of technicians to customer sites. They also handle various administrative tasks and provide customer & team support.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Receiving and managing calls:
Handling a high volume of incoming calls, including emergency and non-emergency requests, and emails.
Scheduling and dispatching:
Preparing and sending work assignments to field technicians, optimizing scheduling for efficiency, and minimizing travel time.
Communicating with technicians, sales, and customers:
Communicating with technicians about work orders and providing customer and sales support as needed.
Maintaining records:
Keeping detailed records of service calls, work orders, and technician schedules.
Performing administrative tasks:
Handling administrative tasks like typing, record-keeping, and note-taking.
Triage and problem-solving:
Performing triage on incoming calls, identifying issues, and escalating them as necessary.
Return Trip Scheduling:
Provide communication to the superintendent, customer, and sales team when processing and assisting with tracking material for jobs needing to be scheduled.
Knowledge:
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Construction experience is a plus
- Administrative experience is preferred
Work Experience:
- Construction experience is a plus
- Administrative experience is preferred
- Service Trade, Sales Force software experience preferred
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal skills for internal and external communications
- Ability to multitask between urgent requests, high priority work, and daily initiatives
- Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Office Products, including Word and Excel
- Must have valid state driver's license and good driving record
- Ability to work under pressure, manage emergency calls professionally
