FACILITIES AIR CONDITIONING TECHNICIAN II - AUSTIN at Texas Disposal Systems – Creedmoor, Texas

JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities Air-Conditioning Technician II installs, maintains, and repairs air conditioning systems. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing routine maintenance, and replacing or repairing damaged components.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist with the install, maintenance, and repair air conditioning systems.
2. Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to include High Visibility clothing.
3. Perform general preventive maintenance as required.
4. Perform monthly air conditioning unit inspections and complete the required documentation.
5. Immediately report safety violations and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
6. Comply with company safety policies and procedures, including using the lock-out/tag-out system before performing maintenance work.
7. Work with other Facility Technicians as assigned by supervisor.
8. Assist with stocking, unloading and delivering supplies.
9. Assist with maintaining property security.
10. Document task and time-tracking in accordance with company procedures.
11. Maintain equipment and tools essential to accomplishing daily tasks.
12. Perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties.
13. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Completion of an accredited HVAC program or equivalent experience
• Minimum of two years of experience in HVAC or air conditioning systems
• Demonstrate familiarity with the principles and techniques involved with repairing and maintaining air conditioning systems
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults, replacing or repairing damaged components
• Identify and address issues with HVAC systems, ensuring proper functionality.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to accurately diagnose air conditioning systems

REQUIRED LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

• Valid Class C driver’s license
• Safe driving for the last three years
