Position Description:

The Project Scheduler will perform their duties and responsibilities in support of the company’s mission in creating schedules for pre bids, newly awarded project baselines, and ongoing construction projects. A profusely motivated individual with good technical, organization, and communication skills will assist with integrity to deliver superior service. Training will be provided to assist in the growth of the entry level Project Scheduler.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of pre bid schedules.

Assist in the creation of baseline schedules through analyzing project drawings and specifications to identify specific work activities, durations, and sequencing.

Assist in the creation and maintenance of a companywide schedule to generate a resource and equipment timeline.

Assist in the creation of “what-if” and recovery schedules.

Update project schedules with weekly or monthly activity progress through communication with project teams and meet deadlines.

Compare schedule updates with baseline and report variances.

Participate in regular project team meetings across multiple projects.

Prepare reports for management and client review including Gantt charts, earned value reports, cost graphs, and resource graphs.

Incorporate cost and resource data into schedules and spreadsheets according to project management team.

Produce cash flow graphs, monitor project costs, manpower and review trends.

Participate in scheduled review meetings with project teams, estimating staff, and clients; maintain meeting minutes.

Assist with change management, claims and TIA’s.

Maintain a master log for change orders, RFI’s, and conflicts within projects.

Provide technical engineering expertise to a specific project and provide assistance in the construction field, assuring compliance with project plans and specifications.

Coordinate with Superintendents and Foremen to see that project plans and specifications Coordinate projects with Engineers.

Bring deficiencies of plans to the attention of the inspector and Project Manager.

Ability to assume responsibility, interface, and communicate with others is essential.

All other duties as assigned.



Position Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture or Construction Management.

2. Requires strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and database applications.

3. An understanding of critical path methodology to ensure, and communicate, timely delivery of milestone tasks.

4. Ability to work under pressure (timelines and deadlines) when required.

5. Must be willing to move/travel to projects.

6. Valid Texas Driver License.

7. Must have the ability to read, write and understand safety regulations applicable to our industry codes and standards.

8. Must have excellent communication skills to inform others on work that is being conducted.

9. Must be able to meet the physical demand of the job.

10. Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, as required by operation.

11. Able to successfully complete all required pre-hire tests and verifications, which may include pre-employment drug testing, reference & criminal background checks and MVR review and physical evaluation.

Employee may be subject to long hours, weekend and holiday work. Work requires the direction and guidance of lead man, foreman, supervisor and helpers.
