Activities Assistant- Part Time Evenings and Weekends at EveryAge – Newton, North Carolina

Do you enjoy bringing joy to others and making every day meaningful? We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team and help create engaging programs for our residents.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with planning, organizing, and leading daily activities that promote social, physical, and emotional well-being.
• Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet individual needs and abilities.
• Provide one-on-one visits and support for residents who may not participate in group programs.
• Help with special events, outings, and holiday celebrations.
• Maintain supplies, assist with set-up/clean-up, and keep attendance records.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent (experience in activities, recreation, or caregiving preferred).
• A positive, creative, and patient personality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to engage with residents of all cognitive and physical levels.
• Willingness to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
