About This Position
Do you enjoy bringing joy to others and making every day meaningful? We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team and help create engaging programs for our residents.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with planning, organizing, and leading daily activities that promote social, physical, and emotional well-being.
- Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet individual needs and abilities.
- Provide one-on-one visits and support for residents who may not participate in group programs.
- Help with special events, outings, and holiday celebrations.
- Maintain supplies, assist with set-up/clean-up, and keep attendance records.
What We’re Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent (experience in activities, recreation, or caregiving preferred).
- A positive, creative, and patient personality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to engage with residents of all cognitive and physical levels.
- Willingness to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
