High School Softball JV Assistant Coach at Cole Valley Christian Schools – Meridian, Idaho

Athletics is an integral part of Cole Valley’s vision of developing the whole person to impact the world for Jesus Christ. We believe that God uses athletics to teach us spiritual truths. There are many biblical lessons and discipleship opportunities available as we strive to reach our fullest potential athletically. We are looking for a JV Softball Assistant who can come alongside the head coach and support them in coaching and developing players.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head JV Coach in planning and conducting practices focused on skill development, conditioning, and game fundamentals.
• Help promote and reinforce consistent philosophies and continuity with the Head Coach.
• Support the head coach in communicating Christ-centered philosophies and vision for the program to parents and extended school family.
• Equip CVCS athletes with instruction to develop skillset and necessary motivation to continually improve on the field.
• Support coaching during games, including warm-ups, in-game strategy, and player management.
• Assist with equipment setup, field preparation, and cleanup.
• Build relationships and invest in the lives of our young women, helping them grow in their relationship with Christ as they see Christ living in you.
• Attend off-season activities as available.

• A testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
• Desire to invest in and disciple students in their relationship with the Lord.
• Be spiritually mature with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Previous coaching staff experience at the high school or collegiate level and/or playing experience at the collegiate level.
• Previous youth discipleship experience preferred.

Job

• Hours: 15-20 hours/week during the season. Off-season hours vary.
• Salary: $1,000
• Starting date: The 2025 season begins with tryouts on February 27, 2026.
