Facility Maintenance Supervisor
JOB SUMMARYThe role of the Facility Maintenance Supervisor is to plan, direct, and lead a professional crew of maintenance and electrical technicians in maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and updating the main campus of the company, to include facilities, grounds, and associated equipment. The position performs its primary functions in a climate-controlled and modern state-of-the-art facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure full compliance with company safety policies and procedures.2. Provide direct supervision of facilities personnel, coordination and oversight of facility projects and the completion of work scope within assigned budget.3. Plan, assign, oversee work and inspect completed jobs/projects to ensure adherence to work order and company expectations.4. Oversee the preventative maintenance, inspection, and repair of systems such as, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility equipment as necessary.5. Utilize the computerized maintenance system. Verify work orders to ensure that they are properly prepared and completed correctly.6. Participate as a site safety advocate, while assisting the EHS engineer in related responsibilities such as governmental/code/regulatory inspections, fire suppression systems, maintenance logs and the compliance thereof, within the physical plant.7. Support capital projects as required and manage outside contractor assignments and work scope. 8. Direct responsibility for managing facilities maintenance spare parts inventory. 9. Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and industry standards and regulations and compliance with company standards, and procedures such as use of personal protective equipment, lock out/tag out and hot work permits.Coordinate directly with scheduling to review all preventative maintenance and repairs for the facility, life safety, site grounds, refrigeration, and material handling equipment.Monitor equipment return to service dates and accurately and timely report findings to applicable departments.Manage and review service contracts under supervision of management when required.13. Troubleshoot equipment to identify source of problems and develop effective solutions to eliminate reoccurrences. 14. Ensures security and emergency preparedness procedures are implemented properly.15. Possess good leadership skills and the ability to supervise the work of others. Must be able to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results. 16. Work alongside the production, engineering, purchasing, and training teams to ensure a culture of continuous improvement.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS1. A minimum of two years experience in a supervisory role in the field of equipment maintenance and/or facility maintenance and/or building maintenance.2. Previous experience in the hands-on troubleshooting and repair (in a manufacturing environment) of equipment and facilities. Experience in three phase electrical systems.3. Possess mechanical aptitude, skills, and ability.4. Ability to read and interpret building blueprints, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other system drawings in the physical plant environment.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma.2. Successful completion of technical training courses and/or technical training schools in job related courses, such as electrical, HVAC, pipe fabrication or construction theory and practice.3. Computer literacy with Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.4. General knowledge of standard shop practices and procedures.5. Vacuum furnace knowledge to include centrifugal pumps, FANUC controls and PLC Controls is helpful.6. Some exposure to or knowledge of wastewater treatment systems is helpful.7. Ability to work in a team environment. 8. Ability to speak, read and write English.
WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position has pre-employment testing requirements that may require fitness for duty testing and a vision exam.Follow general shop safety procedures including the occasional use of safety glasses, safety toe shoes, and hearing protection. Work in difficult positions from time to time. Stand and/or sit for portions of the shift. Move parts (>50 pounds) using hoists, slings, carts, or other handling methods. Move less heavy parts (<50 pounds) with or without hoists, slings, or carts. Occasionally use powered and non-powered hand tools.
