About This Position

Description:

Psychiatric Nurse Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatric Nurse Manager to lead our mental health nursing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily operations of the psychiatric nursing department, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety

- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, promoting professional development and team cohesion

- Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with regulatory standards

- Coordinate patient care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists

- Monitor and manage departmental budgets, staffing schedules, and resource allocation

- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and data analysis to enhance service delivery

- Provide direct patient care when necessary and serve as a clinical resource for staff

Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred

- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state or jurisdiction

- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a psychiatric or mental health setting

- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience supervising healthcare teams

- Strong knowledge of psychiatric nursing practices, mental health disorders, and treatment modalities

- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment

- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement
