The General Manager is responsible for overall restaurant operations including all follow up with managers and team members, financial information follow up, daily operations, training, and support.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development
- develop of all salaried managers through consistent feedback and goal setting practices, leveraging internal company processes/systems
- Develop focused relationship development with all hourly and salaried team members in the building
- follow up on training of new team members in both foh and hoh, using applicable internal processes/systems
- implement and enforce new or changed systems and policies, including communication to appropriate team members
- provide feedback on your location's performance to the appropriate team leaders, including the regional manager
Operations
- enforce and implement operational standards and performance systems (ie sustainability program, beer education program)
- evaluate health and safety practices and follow up on any opportunities for improvement
- follow up on operational reports (ie everclean; newbrand; shopper report, EOM), utilizing other salaried managers
- establish the expectation for effective floor presence, through example and follow-up, to support and observe operations
- maintain the safety and wellness of the facility; ensuring follow up is handled appropriately
Admin
- organize and manage accounts payable invoices to ensure timely submission to the accounting team
- manage the production of performance based schedules, for all foh and hoh departments, by personal review
- adhere to location level budgets and provide regular communication about financial performance
- financial analysis of food, beverage, labor costs and controllable expenses with appropriate action plans to improve financial results
- organize and provide timely follow up on all requests from the home office and regional management
- follow up with team managers regarding maintenance of proper ordering pars and accuracy
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication both verbally and through the written word
- efficient organizational skills and follow up
- ability to set and meet goals and maintain task management for yourself and your team
- effective interpersonal skills
- must have a great attention to detail and excellent decision making with the guests, team members, and the restaurant in mind at all times
- a minimum of two years of salaried management experience in a HIGH-VOLUME restaurant/bar
