Line Lead-Sanitation at Athens Foods – Brookpark, Ohio

Ensures company equipment and facilities are clean and conform with all regulatory and company guidelines in order to maintain the highest standards of company quality and safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1. Supervises and directs the activities of the Sanitation Worker functions.

2. Trains, assigns work to and schedules employees for cleaning duties and inspects work to ensure compliance with standards.

3. Maintains and updates MSS, SSOP’s and all other sanitation records.

4. Ensures conformance with proper manufacturing practices, OSHA standards, health code regulations and company safety policies.

5. Can be asked to assist in: coaching, training, counseling, and disciplining employees, and planning, monitoring and appraising job results.

6. Issues supplies and equipment to employees.

7. Submits requests for repair of equipment.

8. Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff

9. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.

10. Performs cleaning duties during staffing shortages or as needed

11. Responsible to report food safety, quality or food defense concerns to Supervisor

12. Conforms and ensures compliance with all Safety, GMP’s, and Food Safety Policies.

13. Is able to perform Sanitation Duties well, so as to direct and train others.

14. Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be successful in this position.

Education, Training and/or Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Sanitation experience.

3. HACCP knowledge

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics

1. Moderate mechanical aptitude.

2. Ability to complete and pass Sanitation training courses.

3. High degree of initiative and independent judgment.

4. Maintains a high level of energy and a consistent positive attitude.

Certifications, Licenses, registrations

HACCP / GMP trained

1. Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment and industrial cleaning equipment.

2. Requires walking, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs. regularly and independently.

3. Majority of time spent standing to perform job duties.

4. Nature of work requires depth perception, normal vision, normal finger dexterity and ability to hear and communicate and exchange information at normal speaking levels.

5. May require occasional weekend hours as business needs demand.

6. Requires participation and attendance at organization sponsored events and meetings.
