About the Role:
Under the direction of the Director of Rehab Services, the staff Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for the provision and administration of selected physical therapy treatments under the supervision and direction of the staff Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapy Assistant documents and obtains data related to the interventions provided and makes modifications to progress patients’ treatments as directed by the staff Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapy Assistant assists with posting patient charges following each treatment. This position participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an approved school or accredited college with a degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Current State of Florida license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant preferred. If less than one year experience, candidate will be monitored and successfully complete a six-month competency and orientation period.
- Current BLS certification.
