Systems Engineer at Popular Bank – San Juan-Cupey, Puerto Rico

• Research and identify the best options for delivery infrastructure.
• Identify, deploy, and maintain appropriate connectivity options.
• Enhance the overall quality of service delivered to internal users and clients.
• Support the Application Support team in managing critical incidents in the Managed Service environment.
• Design infrastructure solutions using on-prem/cloud technology
• Collaborate with Cyber Security to evaluate and implement infrastructure solutions and changes.
• Experience with Tomcat, Linux, Windows servers, VMware, AWS
• Optional previous experience with development pipelines.

• Contribute to the roadmap for developing and evolving infrastructure to meet current needs and scale for future business requirements.

• Propose design improvements for more efficient support of the environment, applications, and clients.
• Actively work on increasing the availability of our services by iteratively improving existing infrastructure solutions.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience with computer architecture, networking, virtualization, storage, and operating system concepts.
