About the role

SIRIS is seeking a Construction Manager to support a VA Hospital project in Gainesville, Florida.

This role leads complex federal healthcare construction projects where technical quality, cost control, schedule performance, and compliance are critical. You will work closely with the Program Manager, VA client staff, and project stakeholders to oversee execution and ensure alignment with project requirements.

This is a high-impact leadership role supporting mission-critical infrastructure within a regulated federal environment.

What you'll do
  • Provide construction management and project oversight for major programs or multiple projects
  • Oversee project execution with responsibility for technical quality, cost, and schedule performance
  • Provide consultation on business, technical, and personnel management across multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain daily progress reports and inspection documentation
  • Support inspection and quality assurance teams to ensure effective project oversight
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents and project requirements
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and client stakeholders
  • Identify risks and support resolution of project issues
Who Will Succeed in This Role
  • Experience leading complex construction projects in healthcare, federal, or institutional environments is highly valued
  • Strong ability to manage cost, schedule, and compliance across large-scale projects
  • Comfortable operating in leadership roles across multidisciplinary teams
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with program leadership and stakeholders
  • Strong communicator across technical and non-technical teams
  • Demonstrates accountability, sound judgment, and attention to detail
Qualifications
  • Required
    • 7+ years of experience managing facility construction projects
    • Experience overseeing engineering, design, and construction activities
    • Strong understanding of schedule control, cost management, and project delivery
    • Ability to read and interpret construction documents
    • OSHA 30 Certification
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred
    • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
    • 10+ years of construction experience may substitute for a degree
  • Preferred
    • Professional certifications such as CCM, PMP, PE, or equivalent
    • Experience supporting federal, VA, or healthcare construction projects
    • Experience working in regulated environments
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to manage diverse teams across multiple functional areas
  • Strong leadership and personnel management capabilities
  • Proficiency with construction documentation and reporting tools
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational communication skills
Work Environment
  • Full-time onsite role at an active construction site and office environment
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment

The pay range for this role is:
90,000 - 110,000 USD per year(Gainesville, FL)
