Schedule: Rotating shifts Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
Position Highlights:
$18.47 - $22.62 DOE with the ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates

What You’ll Do:
Package prescriptions for shipment to pharmacies, verifying correct medication, paperwork, and patient counseling instructions are provided
Maintain awareness of stock levels and enter orders for restocking based on defined minimum inventory levels. Verify quantities and submit orders to the wholesaler
Verify product orders received against invoices and purchase orders. Place a sticker on each item and stock items on shelves
Monitor and check expiration dates on drugs in inventory
Return or discard dispensed prescriptions back to stock when returned by a pharmacy, as appropriate
Answer incoming phone calls, respond to non-professional level inquiries, and transfer calls to appropriate staff
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
One year of pharmacy assistant, office, administrative, food service, manufacturing, patient care, or customer service experience
Pharmacy Assistant state registration within 60 days of employment
Effective verbal and listening communication skills with a customer-oriented approach
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, faxing, scanning and copying
Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to organize work while performing multiple tasks requiring attention to detail
Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with discretion
Basic proficiency with a variety of computer systems including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, Pharmacy Management software, automated filling software and/or Patient Communications Systems
