This role is a senior IT leadership position responsible for driving the global SAP S/4HANA ERP strategy and implementation across multiple business units. The Director will oversee the full lifecycle of SAP applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational efficiency, and technical excellence. This position involves managing complex projects, vendor relationships, and cross-functional teams while establishing a Center of Excellence (CoE) to standardize best practices. Success in this role requires a combination of strategic vision, technical expertise, and proven leadership in large-scale ERP deployments. The Director will foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while optimizing system performance, security, and compliance across all platforms.
- Lead the global SAP S/4HANA strategy, ensuring alignment with IT vision and business objectives.
- Oversee SAP implementations, upgrades, and migrations, managing projects end-to-end to deliver on time and within budget.
- Establish and maintain a Center of Excellence for SAP S/4HANA, ensuring best practices, governance, and process standardization.
- Manage budgets, resource allocation, and ROI analysis for SAP initiatives, balancing cost, performance, and strategic priorities.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to SAP developers, analysts, and support teams.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to optimize system capabilities and maintain effective partnerships.
- Ensure SAP solutions meet organizational requirements for performance, security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 20+ years of experience in SAP, including 10+ years in management roles leading large-scale ERP implementations.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA development, business analysis, project cost estimation, and team leadership.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP Cloud Platform, or other cloud-based ERP solutions.
- Proven expertise in business process implementation across finance, supply chain, and operations (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report).
- SAP S/4HANA certification or willingness to obtain.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into business terms.
- Strong organizational, project management, and team-building skills, with experience fostering high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with MS SQL, MS Project, .NET, Citrix/2x, VMWARE, Windows Server, WAN/Internet, cloud technologies, process automation, and ERP integrations.
