This senior leadership role sits at the intersection of cloud architecture, software engineering, and product delivery, driving the strategy and execution of large-scale SaaS platforms. You will define how cloud-native solutions are built, deployed, and optimized across enterprise environments, ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence. Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, you will translate business objectives into a modern cloud engineering roadmap. This role also plays a key part in advancing DevOps maturity, automation, and continuous delivery practices. You will lead high-performing engineering teams while fostering innovation, accountability, and technical excellence. Accountabilities

This role is responsible for defining and executing the end-to-end cloud engineering strategy aligned with SaaS and enterprise technology goals. You will lead the design and implementation of scalable cloud platforms, modern engineering practices, and high-quality delivery pipelines while ensuring alignment with business priorities.

  • Define and execute cloud strategy aligned with SaaS product and enterprise architecture roadmaps
  • Implement and scale DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Oversee cloud operations, including observability, performance monitoring, and reliability engineering using tools like Prometheus and Grafana
  • Manage cloud budgets, cost optimization initiatives, and vendor performance, ensuring efficient resource allocation and FinOps alignment
  • Lead, coach, and scale engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, and organizational development
  • Partner with product, architecture, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of cloud capabilities into SaaS offerings
  • Establish engineering standards for security, compliance, disaster recovery, and software quality across the full lifecycle
Requirements

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in cloud engineering leadership, SaaS environments, and large-scale software delivery. You combine deep technical expertise with strong executive presence and the ability to drive transformation across complex organizations.

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including 5+ years in leadership roles within cloud or SaaS organizations
  • Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Hands-on experience with modern programming and frameworks including Java, Python, Node.js, React, and Angular
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps, Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and cloud-native architecture patterns
  • Experience implementing observability, security, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR)
  • Familiarity with serverless and distributed architectures, including AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Experience in modernization initiatives, legacy migration, and cloud transformation programs
