EXTENSIONSERVICES PROGRAM ANALYST

CIVILSERVICE TITLE:Analyst Trainee (eligible for advancement to Assistant Program Analyst aftersuccessful 12-month training period)

DIVISION: Extension Services

SALARY: $40,480 - $54,325 (as AnalystTrainee); eligible for advancement to Assistant Program Analyst ($50,269 -$83,721) after successful 12-month training period

LOCATION: 1440 Parkside Avenue, Ewing, NJ

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30PM, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break

POSITIONOVERVIEW:

MercerCounty is seeking a motivated and organized professional to support the manyprograms of Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Mercer County, including thoseprovided through 4-H Youth Development, Agriculture and Natural Resources, andFamily and Community Health Sciences.

This rolerequires strong organizational and time-management skills, the ability toprioritize tasks and coordinate multiple initiatives at a time, a high level ofprofessionalism, and strong communication and technical skills.

While thesuccessful candidate will begin as an Analyst Trainee, they will be eligiblefor promotion to Assistant Program Analyst after a 12-month training period.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ProgramReview, Planning, and Coordination

  • Learns toreview annual programs to strengthen all aspects of program planning andimplementation.
  • Learns tocoordinate program marketing, enrollment, and communications – serving as a keycontact for multiple initiatives.
  • Learns tocoordinate program logistics, including planning, budgeting, supplies,catering, etc.

ProgramEvaluation and Reporting

  • Learns tocollect and compile data to support program evaluation efforts.
  • Learns touse data to create charts and other associated figures for programmaticreporting purposes, including grant proposals and funder updates.
  • Learns topromote program outcomes and impacts via news blogs, e-newsletters, socialmedia, and updates to multiple websites.

Other

  • Learnsmultiple information systems to support all of the above, including BetterImpact, PEARS for Extension, and ZSuite.
  • Serves asa first line of support on all IT issues, including AV and connectivity supportfor online, hybrid, and in-person classes and programs.
  • Schedulesthe daily use of meeting rooms by a variety of stakeholder groups and Countydepartments.
  • Serves asa first point of contact for walk-ins and telephone inquiries from the public,volunteers, and participants.

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicantsmust possess one of the following:

  • Four (4)years of professional experience relevant to the position

OR

  • Abachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS, & ABILILITIES:

  • Strongorganizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multipleprojects and deadlines.
  • Ability tocommunicate effectively and professionally with employees, volunteers, programparticipants, partnering organizations, and funders.
  • Ability towork independently while also collaborating within a team environment.
  • Stronginterpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and externalcollaborators and partners.
  • Ability toreview, interpret, and evaluate data and other information.
  • Ability toprepare technically sound, accurate, and informative reports.
  • Ability touse various types of information systems for enrollment and reporting purposes.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite. Experience inany of the following is also preferred: Canva, Constant Contact, Qualtrics,WordPress, and/or similar.
