Warehouse Lead at Sphere Renewables LLC – Commerce City, Colorado

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Lead is a senior-level warehouse professional responsible for overseeing advanced warehouse functions including inventory control, shipping and receiving, and workflow coordination. This role serves as a team lead, assisting supervisors in day-to-day operations and mentoring junior associates. The Warehouse Lead ensures operational accuracy, safety compliance, and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead or coordinate daily warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment.
• Aid supervisor in holding warehouse team accountable for attendance, performance, productivity, and teamwork.
• Operate a variety of equipment (e.g., forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, RF scanners) safely and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Assure that all the quality standards are adhered to throughout the logistic process
• Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways
• Verify accuracy of shipments and documentation, ensuring proper handling and storage.
• Generate shipping labels and validate packaging to ensure compliance to company guidelines and/or customer requirements.
• Train and support Warehouse Associates I & II on procedures, safety protocols, and use of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
• Communicate with supervisors, drivers, and other departments to coordinate logistics.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Serve as acting lead in the absence of a warehouse supervisor or team leader.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive warehouse or logistics experience.
• Advanced knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, and WMS software.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff.
• Forklift certified or able to obtain certification immediately.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced distribution center.
• Knowledge of lean warehousing or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Experience with Microsoft Suite of Applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Comfortable working in warehouse environments with fluctuating temperatures.
• Must wear appropriate PPE and adhere to all safety guidelines.
