POSITION SUMMARY
This person will be responsible for processing materials through mesh belt and roller hearth annealing equipment, ensuring proper time, temperature, and handling procedures are followed according to production schedules and quality standards. Additionally, this person will support material preparation, tracking, and workflow to ensure efficient production operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate GE mesh belt, Abbott mesh belt, and roller hearth annealers according to production schedules
• Load material onto annealers per instructions while ensuring proper placement and handling
• Record ingot number, material type, anneal time and temperature, and production order details in log books
• Unload annealed material and enter production data into systems for downstream processes
• Weigh and record material on annealer weight sheets
• Load and unload materials for flattening and stress relief annealing processes
• Record material dimensions for finishing and production tracking
• Wash material from tension mills using designated wash systems
• Operate lift equipment to move and position materials safely
• Plan material loading to maximize annealer efficiency and throughput
• Handle materials carefully to prevent scratches, dents, or defects
• Follow ISO production methods to ensure consistent product quality
• Monitor process variables and understand their impact on final product quality
• Maintain equipment in safe working condition and support preventative maintenance efforts
• Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
• Ability to read and follow production specifications and instructions
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to plan and organize work for efficiency and throughput
• Ability to safely operate material handling and lift equipment
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and material handling best practices

PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Routinely performs duties in a manufacturing environment
• Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods of time during a full shift
• Must be able to lift, move, and handle materials as required
• Must be able to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks
• Exposure to manufacturing conditions including heat, noise, and dust
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
