Business Unit Director Connected Living / Digital Commerce

This senior leadership role is responsible for driving end-to-end ownership of a global business unit focused on connected living and digital commerce solutions. You will lead the strategic, financial, and operational performance of a complex, multi-site international portfolio, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability across hardware, software, automation, and design-led manufacturing services. Acting as the key executive interface for global customers, you will shape long-term commercial strategy, lead high-value negotiations, and expand business opportunities across new technologies and markets. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, supply chain, operations, and finance teams to translate strategy into scalable execution. You will oversee both customer success and operational excellence across global regions, ensuring consistency in delivery and performance. This is a high-impact role suited for a leader who thrives in complex, global, and innovation-driven environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Full ownership of business unit P&L across multiple global manufacturing and design sites, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth
  • Define and execute customer and pricing strategies across EMS, JDM, and value-added service models
  • Lead executive-level customer relationships, serving as strategic sponsor and primary commercial interface
  • Drive revenue expansion by identifying and developing new programs, services, and technology opportunities within existing accounts
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations including contracts, pricing structures, and volume commitments with senior client stakeholders
  • Oversee global operational execution including supply chain setup, manufacturing transfers, and new product introduction processes
  • Ensure consistent service delivery, SLA compliance, and customer satisfaction across all operational sites
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to support design-led manufacturing programs from concept to production ramp
  • Align cross-functional teams around portfolio strategy, operational execution, and financial objectives
  • Lead or support enterprise-level RFP processes and strategic growth initiatives

Requirements:

  • 12–15+ years of progressive experience in business management, operations, supply chain, or customer leadership roles in manufacturing or industrial environments
  • 4+ years of people leadership experience in complex, global organizations
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale global accounts with full P&L responsibility
  • Strong expertise in contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and commercial portfolio management
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into scalable operational execution across multi-site environments
  • Experience working with connected hardware, software, automation, or design-centric manufacturing solutions strongly preferred
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Deep understanding of global supply chains, engineering collaboration, and manufacturing operations
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with ability to manage complex business models
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
