As an IT Support Technician, you will apply your skills to service and maintain a broad collection of IT systems while increasing our operational efficiency. We are looking for our support staff members to apply their technical expertise, problem solving skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact the future of energy!
- Provide IT Help Desk support and assistance for all members at Xcimer
- Setup, configure and maintain machines and workspaces for employees
- Assist administrators with troubleshooting and resolving IT incidents involving both hardware and software
- Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of critical IT infrastructure including network stacks, data centers, cloud servers and enterprise software systems
- Develop training documentation and material to facilitate IT policies and onboard new hires
- Document, categorize, and prioritize IT issues to ensure efficient escalation to senior IT personnel when necessary Enforce security policies and collaborate on their development and implementation
- Work closely with software and hardware engineering teams to ensure smooth operations
- Education: Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology, information systems, networking or related fields Experience: 2+ years of experience as an IT support staff member
- Experience supporting hybrid environments with both Windows and MacOS systems Experience supporting Microsoft 365 Suite, Exchange, Teams, OneDrive and Intune environments Working knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security Excellent technical and interpersonal communicationskills Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment A positive attitude, with a customer service-oriented approach and a passion for working with people Ability to earn trust and maintain positive and professional relationships Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylum
- Familiar with Agile project management software and processes (Atlassian suite, Trello, etc.)
- Experience with on-premises server and database management
- Ability to set up automated workflows as scheduled scripts or batch jobs
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Javascript, Python, Ansible, etc.)
- Experience developing integrations via webhook or REST API
- Previous experience with NIST 800-171 or other government security focused standard
$65,000 - $85,000 a year
