Housekeeper in Miami, Oklahoma at Northeastern Tribal Health System

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of outpatient housekeeping functions.

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for a range of custodial duties. Sweeps, mops, floors in various departments with permission throughout the workday.
• Trash cans are emptied from the rooms and offices throughout the facility.
• The facility restroom will be cleaned and restocked several times throughout the day to keep in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition.
• Required training with the Environmental Health Staff, attend required safety trainings.
• Responsible for using special safety techniques and special required materials for cleaning.
• Maintain confidentiality of information as required by applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
• Dexterity and ability to use equipment safely.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential skills and experience:

• Three to five years’ experience with building and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning techniques and special required cleaning agents for a health facility.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.

Physical Demands: The work required lifting up to 50 pounds. Standing, kneeling, sitting for periods of time.

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. May have to work with hazardous materials.
