About This Position
Rightway Fabrication is looking for an experienced Project Manager.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills are vital for any candidate. The selected candidate will display excellent communication skills and professional leadership ability. Experience with steel fabrication, detailing or sales is preferred.
- Understand project scope and keep an eye on specifics. Know the details of the project including coatings.
- Detailing convos, initial schedule, budget amount, resources, send out packages, RFIs, ASIs
- Detailing follow up - ensure hitting dates and moving along to schedule
- Daily Email review - priorities - notify assistants and PMs
- Drawing submittal log, client, shop, field
- MTR and Shipping Log and documentation to client
- Change Order prep and follow-up
- RFI creation
- Submittal reviews
- Resource review with schedule
- Speak with subs and coordinate with shipping when necessary
- Attend critical meetings and support schedule and priorities
- Gather RFI, product spec, samples, etc for projects
- Highlight drawing for concerns or issues
- Review bill of material and drawing for high level issues on fab drawing
- Ensure latest revisions of drawings are being shared with all parties
- Flag to GM any concerns or issues
- Work diligently each day and stay on task
- Attend job-site meetings, client meetings, shop visits as necessary and directed.
Experience:
Construction Experience: 5+ years (Required)
Project Management Experience: 3+ years (Required)
Steel Experience: 5+ years (Preferred)
Detailing Experience: 3+ years (Preferred)
Duties And Responsibilities
Coordinate with Rightway Steel’s field and office teams to ensure projects are run efficiently, profitably, and on schedule.
Manage multiple construction projects through all phases, including pricing estimation, material sourcing, fabrication, delivery, installation and documentation completion
Generate pricing estimates and work closely with estimating team to finalize project scopes and estimates. Ensure all proposals are completed with exactitude and internally filed properly upon completion.
Attend production meetings with clients, superintendents and stakeholders to provide updates and project progress as well as resolve conflicts.
Attend job walks, visit job sites to meet with superintendents, verify dimensions in the field.
Receive and review project plans to assess changes to scope, cost impacts, or schedule conflicts. Transmit updated drawings to relevant detailers, installers, or suppliers.
Schedule equipment rental and coordination of field team for on-site project success.
React promptly and professionally to issues or conflicts that may arise with drawing conflicts, field installation, material availability and more.
Assess and address risk (financial & safety) prior to and during fabrication and installation for projects.
Office business hours are from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Required 40 hour work week with those hours
