We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to offer extensive support to the company Controller in all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, audit, and tax functions for the business. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in accounting and financial management, as well as be able to provide strategic financial guidance to the organization.
Requirements:- Oversee and assist in preparing monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and various regulatory requirements.
- Perform monthly General Ledger reconciliations, including all bank accounts, inventory, receivables, payables, loan balances, etc.
- Maintain Fixed Asset balances and depreciation schedules.
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring budget variances, and providing analyses to support budgetary decisions.
- Formulate, implement, and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial information.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Work with senior management to develop and execute on global financial strategies and long-term financial plans which align with business objectives.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as needed for financial transactions and reporting.
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for the business.
- Supervise and mentor accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA Certification is preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of GAAP. Ideally, looking for 2+ years of exposure to manufacturing and cost accounting.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Must be highly organized and have acute attention to detail.
- Proficiency with ERP software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Highly preferred: experience with IQMS/DELMIAWorks
- Experience with Power BI or any other business intelligence/reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Must be a Self-Starter and be able to work without supervision.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Highly preferred: previous work within an Injection Molding company.
