Base salary up to $120,000 plus 10% annual bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.

We are seeking a Controller to lead the accounting and finance function of a growing, private equity–backed organization. Reporting directly to Private Equity leadership and partnering closely with the General Manager and executive team, this role will own day-to-day accounting operations while establishing fresh policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks to support rapid, profitable growth.

• Manage all day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, job costing, and month-end close

• Establish and implement accounting and finance policies, procedures, and internal controls

• Develop timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes

• Partner with operational and project teams to ensure accurate job cost tracking and margin analysis

• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and third-party consultants

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory and tax requirements

• Build scalable processes and systems to support growth and potential future transactions

• Collaborate with leadership to drive financial visibility and strategic decision-making

• Mentor and develop accounting staff as the organization grows

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility

• Prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience, ideally within construction, engineering, or project-based industries

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls

• Experience with job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion revenue recognition

• Demonstrated ability to build and improve accounting processes and policies

• Experience managing external audits and year-end processes

• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across operations and executive leadership

• Experience in private equity–backed or high-growth environments is a plus
