Senior Corporate Counsel - REMOTE

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Corporate Counsel - REMOTE. This role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and corporate standards. As a part of the legal team, you will lead initiatives to mitigate regulatory risks and serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders. Your expertise will aid in driving compliance strategy in a fast-paced environment, enabling innovation in the healthcare sector while safeguarding legal standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence how compliance is integrated within a global framework.
Accountabilities
  • Advise on compliance and regulatory matters, including healthcare laws and industry standards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Anti-Kickback Statute and Sunshine Act compliance.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs and policies.
  • Act as Compliance Officer and HIPAA Officer for designated business units.
  • Provide legal guidance on marketing and sales practices to ensure compliance.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with compliance considerations.
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments; manage investigations and remediation plans.
  • Support employment law matters, including employee relations and policies.
  • Lead compliance training initiatives for business teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Legal, Regulatory Affairs, and HR.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier law school; active license to practice law in the U.S.
  • 510 years of legal experience, focusing on healthcare compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Proven expertise in Anti-Kickback Statute, Sunshine Act, and healthcare fraud laws.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • High degree of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information.
  • Experience in a matrixed global organization preferred.
