Position Summary:

The Production Utility Associate supports daily manufacturing operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized production environment while assisting with material movement throughout the facility. This role performs routine housekeeping and sanitation tasks, operates forklifts and other material-handling equipment, and partners with production and warehouse teams to ensure efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production, warehouse, and common work environment
  • Perform routine housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, mopping, waste removal, and restocking sanitation supplies
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move materials, products, and supplies throughout the facility
  • Inspect forklifts and equipment before use and report safety concerns or maintenance issues
  • Follow all safety, food safety, and housekeeping procedures, including proper chemical handling and PPE use
  • Complete basic checklists, logs, and documentation related to cleaning and material handling activities
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to support production schedules and operational goals
  • Prioritize tasks and follow daily work assignments to meet operational needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Skills and Education:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Forklift Certification.
  • 1+ year experience operating forklifts or similar equipment in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of workplace safety protocols and best practices.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods during a shift
  • Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, temperature variations, and production equipment
