Essential Functions:

  • Guards’ property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
  • Patrols buildings and grounds of assigned facilities
  • Examine doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
  • Preserves order and enforces security regulations.
  • Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles; and apprehends or expels culprits.
  • Inspect equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.
  • Watches for and reports conditions that could result in injury or loss due to fire hazards, leaking pipes, spills, faulty equipment, etc.
  • Checks personnel for proper identification and clearance.
  • Permits authorized people to enter property.
  • Checks incoming and outgoing packages.
  • Monitors CCTV to ensure the continued security and safety of the property both inside and outside of the facilities.
  • Accompanies terminated personnel to guard against theft of company property and assure the property is left immediately.
  • Sounds alarm or calls to police or fire department in case of fire, difficulty with unauthorized people, or medical emergencies.
  • Records data, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment, for use by supervisory staff.
  • May register at watch stations to record time of inspection trips.
  • May regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at entrance and in parking lots to maintain orderly flow.
  • Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed inside and outside with uncontrolled weather conditions.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Expected Hours of Work

2nd Shift - (3:00PM – 1:30AM Monday- Friday)

NOTE: May be assigned to work any shift. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position, except between Stellar Energy facilities as the need arises.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Related experience or training
  • Familiar with prevailing software applications, such as MS Office Suite and CCTV video.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must have dependable transportation, valid driver’s license, clean back-ground check and random drug screening consent.

Work Authorization

Must be authorized to work in USA.
