The Opportunity You will serve as a foundational leader with the unique opportunity to build, lead, and scale a dedicated commercial carpentry division from the ground up. This role grants you the autonomy to shape department systems while mentoring a high-performing crew in a culture that values craftsmanship and accountability.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Direct the daily execution of metal stud framing and acoustic ceiling installations to ensure elite project quality.

• Recruit, train, and manage a professional crew of 3-5 carpenters to establish a culture of excellence and growth.

• Coordinate with architects and clients to ensure all project specifications and timelines are met with precision.

• Develop internal workflows and departmental structures that support long-term scalability and operational efficiency.

• Analyze project budgets and resource planning to increase profitability and expand the divisions service capabilities.

• Supervise onsite safety protocols and technical execution to maintain Pillar Construction's reputation for reliability.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience specifically within the commercial carpentry field.

• Advanced technical expertise in metal stud framing and acoustic ceiling systems.

• Proven track record of leading and managing field crews with minimal oversight.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex commercial construction plans and specifications.

• Excellent communication skills required for interacting with clients, architects, and municipal officials.

• Demonstrated experience in business development or helping grow a specific department or business unit.

• Deep understanding of commercial project lifecycles, scheduling, and logistical workflows.
