Part-Time Engineering Analyst (BT-26079) at Bastion Technologies, Inc. – Huntsville, Alabama

The Engineering Analyst (Part-time) will support the NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Safety and Mission Assurance Services II (SMAS II) contract space program located in Huntsville, AL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hands-on technical work in support of on-going projects in various disciplines within NASA Safety & Mission Assurance (SMA) under the supervision of our more senior engineers.
• Basic engineering tasks related to design, analysis, test, integration and systems engineering. Opportunities can vary from performing analysis on existing flight hardware, assisting in the design and development of future hardware, performing analysis for both completed and future launches.
• Activities can include but are not limited to: data analysis, analysis methodology improvement projects, software improvement projects, trade studies, Managing Quality and Project Records
• Will support one or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree.

WORK LOCATION:

• This position is located onsite; some travel may be required.
• Schedules are subject to change based on the requirements of the position and/or customer needs.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:

STANDARD BASTION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.

• Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.
• Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
• Must be organized with good time management skills and must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
• Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
• Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
