About This Position
Function
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment across U.S. operations, with primary ownership of hourly hiring across multiple plant locations. This role will expand to include salaried, leadership, and executive-level recruiting as business needs evolve. This position partners closely with hiring managers and plant leadership to attract, assess, and select talent, while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with organizational hiring standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Execution
- Manage full-cycle recruitment process for assigned roles across multiple U.S. locations
- Lead high-volume hourly recruiting efforts (production, skilled trades, and entry-level roles)
- Progressively support salaried, professional, and leadership-level hiring
- Ensure timely movement of candidates through the hiring process
- Talent Pipeline Development
- Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill roles
- Post and manage job openings in the company career center (ADP) and external platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) to drive candidate attraction. Manage, evaluate performance and optimize all job postings to ensure accuracy, visibility, promotion and alignment with hiring priorities
- Partner with hiring managers to anticipate workforce needs and build proactive pipelines
- Assess when to engage external recruiting agencies based on role complexity, urgency, and pipeline gaps.
- Partner with external recruiters to support hiring needs, ensuring clear communication of role requirements and expectations. Manage relationships with external partners, including candidate quality, responsiveness, and alignment with company standards
- Monitor effectiveness of agencies and internal career centers usage and drive efforts to build internal pipelines to reduce long-term dependency
- Candidate Screening & Pre-Qualification
- Review applications and identify qualified candidates aligned with role requirements
- Conduct initial candidate screenings (phone, virtual, or video assessments)
- Evaluate candidate experience, skills, and cultural alignment using structured criteria
- Ensure candidates meet minimum qualifications before advancing to hiring managers
- Manage and review assessment tools (e.g., cognitive, personality, video interviews) as part of the screening process
- Provide recommendations and insights to hiring managers based on candidate evaluations
- Interview Coordination & Process Management
- Ensure a structured and consistent interview process across locations
- Follow up with hiring managers to collect timely interview feedback (within established timelines)
- Analyze interview evaluations and feedback to support informed hiring decisions
- Manage offer process, including offer creation and candidate communication
- Stakeholder Partnership
- Partner with supervisors, managers, and plant leadership to understand hiring needs
- Provide guidance on labor market conditions, candidate availability, and hiring strategies
- Drive accountability for timely interview feedback and hiring decisions
- Support hiring managers in building effective interview and selection practices
6. Process Improvement & Compliance
- Ensure recruiting processes align with company policies and applicable employment laws
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within the applicant tracking system
- Leverage technology, innovation and AI tools to enhance automation, workflow optimization, and candidate engagement strategies
- Reporting & Metrics
- Track and report key recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, candidate pipeline activity, and hiring outcomes
- Monitor trends and provide recommendations to improve recruiting effectiveness
- Support ongoing reporting needs for talent and operational leadership
Position Specifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant recruiting experience
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
- Experience supporting high-volume hiring environments
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions across different locations
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
- Experience in manufacturing or multi-site environments
- Experience recruiting both hourly and salaried roles
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools
- Experience using candidate assessments in the hiring process
- Ability to leverage technology, including AI tools, to improve recruiting efficiency and candidate experience
