About This Position
Carpenter
As our Carpenter, you will support the building construction team with various carpentry activities including interpreting specifications, measurements, framing, installations and finishing work. A successful candidate in this role should have previous experience with vertical construction projects, a professional work ethic, a teamwork mindset and the commitment to achieve the SpawGlass mission.
What you'll do- Structural Framework Construction: Accurately measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials to build strong, reliable frameworks for walls, floors, and roofs in accordance with blueprints and building codes.
- Installation and Finishing: Skillfully install doors, windows, cabinets, trim, molding, and other fixtures, ensuring high-quality finishes and attention to detail for both interior and exterior elements.
- Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs on existing structures, replace damaged or worn components, and ensure buildings remain in good condition and meet safety standards.
- Safety and Maintenance Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and building regulations, and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment
- Previous carpentry experience on commercial projects (e.g., hospitals, schools, grocery stores, parking garages, etc.).
- Flexibility in your work schedule.
- Strong decision-making, interpersonal and communication skills.
- A high-quality approach and will make safety a priority in your daily work routine.
- Passion about learning and growing your skillset.
Essential Functions
You must be able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, climb stairs, walk on uneven ground, work above ground on scaffolds, have depth of perception to avoid excavations and other hazards, hear well enough to recognize the sounds of horns and sirens on moving equipment and have good finger manipulation. There is a constant lifting of 10 lbs., frequent lifting of 25 lbs. and maximum single person lifting of 50 lbs. For items over 50 lbs. get assistance from a co worker. Team members must be able to climb on light or heavy equipment, carry and use hand tools. There is standing up to seven hours of an eight-hour shift. Ability to work in outside temperatures from 25 - 115 degrees.
