Packaging Tech at Pelican Brewing Company – Tillamook, Oregon

Position Title: Packaging Tech 1, 2, 3

Summary of the Position: Packaging Techs are responsible for packaging World Class Beer, keeping the facility and equipment clean, as well as basic maintenance on the equipment all while maintaining the highest standards/ quality of our product.

Key Accountabilities: will be responsible for tracking the following but not limited to

Packaging Tech 1:

• Open Mind with critical thinking skills
• Mechanical aptitude & knowledge of how things work.

• Supports a reasonable and responsible lifestyle.
• Has a strong desire to optimize and improve processes.
• Ability to stand for daily work.? Lifting 35 lbs repetitiously at times.
• Machine Operations – Canning, Bottling, Kegging.
• Training provided.
• Recycling Organization
• Daily area cleans up and maintenance.

Packaging Tech 2:

• To include all duties of Packaging tech 1 but also:
• Can Filler Operator
• Bottle Filler Operator
• Keg Filler

Packaging Tech 3:

• To include all duties of Packaging tech 1, 2 but also:
• Date coding of packaging
• Forklift operator
• Preventative Maintenance on packaging equipment
• General Repairs of all brewery packaging equipment

Must be able to stand for duration of scheduled shift.

Position requires bending, sitting, standing, kneeling, crouching, walking, reaching.

Must be able to move up to 50lbs properly and safely.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Trainable with a great desire to learn.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency & effectiveness. Timeliness is required every day.
• Organized & detail oriented.
• Willingness to take direction, take notes, and act.
• Can be trusted to perform tasks with little or no supervision.
• Mentally flexible.
• Some knowledge of beverage packaging or kegging is a plus.
