Estimator at Kelly Generator & Equipment Inc – Owings, Maryland

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review project drawings and specifications to identify required equipment and scope for proposals.
• Enter and update opportunities in the CRM system.
• Coordinator with contractors to fill in missing information on specs and drawings.
• Communicate with vendors to provide technical information.
• Support Outside Sales Reps & Sales Engineers as needed.
• Handle incoming calls related to new unit sales.
• Ensure all customer inquiries are addressed promptly and accurately.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales targets and goals.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge to effectively support customers and promote products.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic knowledge of electrical systems (voltage, amperage, single/three-phase)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with CRM or project management software

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in estimating, electrical work, construction, or generator installation
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Technology, Engineering, or related field (PREFFERED)

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
