Property Maintenance Technician at BK Management – Lafayette, Indiana

Job Overview:

• Project Scope: Residential Property Maintenance and Remodeling.

The Opportunity: You will act as a primary technical expert in Field Operations, directly impacting the quality of life for residents across Indiana. This role empowers you to solve complex mechanical issues and take full ownership of property transformations within a supportive, growth-oriented culture.

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Diagnosed and resolved diverse maintenance issues across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.

• Executed comprehensive make-ready repairs to ensure vacant units meet high-quality standards for new occupancy.

• Completed tenant work orders with precision and efficiency to maintain peak operational performance.

• Evaluated property conditions to provide technical recommendations for major repairs to the Territory Manager.

• Managed personal workflow and materials to ensure all maintenance projects stay within time and budget.

• Participated in an on-call rotation to provide emergency support and ensure 24/7 property safety.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional residential maintenance or construction experience.

• Proven technical proficiency in minor electrical, plumbing, flooring, and gutter repair.

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record for site-to-site travel.

• Ability to physically navigate demanding environments, including lifting 50 pounds and climbing stairs.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Previous experience in a property management or high-volume residential service environment.

• Advanced troubleshooting skills in HVAC systems and lighting controls.
