Utility Steward-Dishwasher at Meriwether Godsey, Inc. – Richmond, Virginia

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Full-time Utility Steward/Dishwasher at a retail dining operation in Richmond, VA.

• Must be able to work as follows: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm
• Pay rate: $16.00 Per Hour

What you will do:

• Set up and operate the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans: scrape, separate, and organize items
• Note and record dish-machine temperatures, reporting low temperatures or machine malfunctions immediately
• Transport related supplies and assist in the setup of dining and serving areas
• Load and unload food and supplies to and from the van for deliveries and pick-ups
• Drive safely while obeying all state and local laws in Virginia
• Clean dining and serving areas throughout and after the meal period and replenish to ensure service without interruption
• Set up and use three - a three-compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing pots and pans
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, including sweeping, mopping floors, and removal of trash
• Assist with receiving and storing food products and food preparation following correct food handling procedures to ensure food safety
• Perform all duties in accordance with food safety and sanitation best practices
• Other duties, as assigned
  

What you need:

• Previous utility/dishwasher experience required
• Ability to measure products and convert units of measure
• Awareness of commercial kitchen equipment and how to perform routine maintenance and cleaning
• Reliability and a willingness to work in a hot, humid environment
• Good communication skills and a great attitude
