Job description:
Airline Food and Equipment Coordinators work in a fast-paced environment to coordinate the timely production of Airline meals.
Principal Responsibilities:
Maintains sanitation standards in accordance with Company policy and USDA/FDA/HACCP regulations
Complete appropriate HACCP paperwork
Audit food and/or equipment for flights.
Review menu books with cooks and food preparers.
Complete inventories (ordering/receiving) forward to Materials Department in a timely manner to ensure delivery for flights.
Receive/log/store in bound products.
Stock inflight cooler & freezer practicing FIFO.
Ensure established guidelines and diagrams are followed.
Establish and maintain a clean and organized work area
Prioritize daily work duties accordingly to impact productivity
Assist on charters, special orders, and job coverage as needed.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Must be able to work any day of the week with an hourly schedule of 5am-1:30pm- including mandatory overtime up until 4:30pm as needed.
Our schedule times do not rotate but candidates must be open to change scheduled days during seniority based shift bids. Shift Bids occur twice per year
Eligible candidates must:
- Be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
- Be available to work a full-time position, including Weekends and Holidays
- Be available to work mandatory overtime as needed
- Be able to complete the application/orientation process in English
- Be able to stand for the duration of the shift
- Be able to work in a 38 degree cold room for the duration of the shift (cold gear provided after probationary period)
- Be able to safely and effectively utilize kitchen knives, scales and other food prep tools
- Be able to effectively interpret client specification paperwork
- Be able to push, pull, lift, a minimum of 30lbs
- Be a team player and work well with a diverse team from all over the world
- Be willing to pay union dues after 60 days ($12.75 weekly)
